First Ever Iowa Thanksgiving 2011

The day before, the girls decided to tackle Daddy... check out Abigail's shoes

Great Grandma Pearl still knows how to cook :)

It was 70 degrees, so the girls got to run-- A LOT!

Closest to a normal family pic we can get.

Sammy practices kissing her frogs before finding her prince.

The sequence of trying to get a good picture with Great Grandma Iowa is rather amusing... here's a few...

The girls were saying thanks for cooking a great meal Grammy Iowa!

Sammy was desperately hoping for a Hawkeye victory, while Abbie had turned her jersey in on Friday.

Abbie and Sammy head to the Des Moines Zoo!

Cutest Animal Ever. The Red Panda. Abigail still talks about it.

A real Otter confused us a little.

Sammy and Abbie both pet the goat. He was nice

The twins were most excited about getting to ride a caterpillar

Yes, a caterpillar

Random pumpkins the zoo uses to feed animals around Halloween.

Mom's never seen Bald Eagle's in a zoo, so she took pictures. We really didn't care about them.

We liked these tiny canaries that flew all around us in the bird sanctuary.

Funny story... these birds are alive, and are not statues but they scared the bejeesus out of us and we ran crying to mom. Then we had to go through the door to see the fishies. It took us about 5 minutes, but we made it. Crazy birds followed us in there too!

We LOVE the fish. Both of us even tried to climb in the tank.

Wombat didn't impress us

But the penguins sunning themselves were awesome!
