Days n Nights??

I think we're all sorts of messed up on time over here. I have yet to go to bed tonight because of one girl or the other. It's now 1:15am... We're getting there, but I have Sammy in my arms now, and I have a feeling when I go back upstairs, it will be time to switch with Abbie.

I survived two full days alone with the girls :) It actually isn't that bad, but time flies that's for sure. And I have no time to get anything done. It's literally, feed, change, hold, and rotate... then do it again in maybe an hour. I've been rotating who I feed, so feedings take an hour and a half. Then I have to do it all over again in an hour... if they'll wait that long.

The biggest outing we've had so far is walking. I'm still all out of sorts from bed rest/ C-section, but I guess I have to be patient. It's hard to be a normally athletic person and change into a sac of goo for months on end...Now I have to fix it.

The girls are great, Sammy still needs to gain weight, while Abbie is a chunk. I think we have Sammy at 5.5 lbs now, and Abbie is 7.5 lbs. She's graduated to newborn diapers and clothes.
I cannot believe how many diapers these kids go through. Same with formula. And it's expensive, but we're figuring it out I think.

Life is certainly different, but better at the same time. We like being parents, and we're figuring it out as we go.

Mom with the girls

Grammy M Visits!

Here the girls are sleeping on Grammy M from Iowa. She came all the way out here to help us out for a week. She did a few 3am feedings, she fed Matt and I wonderful dinners, and she was able to be Grammy M for the girls. They are blessed to have a woman like her in their lives...

Our Niece Lauren

Look how cute she is!! This is Abbie and Sammy's cousin Lauren who lives in New Jersey. She's about 5 months ahead of the girls...

So much happening

We made it to Spokane and back... what a great trip. The girls both traveled very well, with only a stop in Moses Lake both ways in order to feed. We actually had to wake them up to do that!
Mom and Dad were awesome with feedings to help us out in the early AM... that allowed us to finally get at least 4 hours in a row of sleep for the first time. We were going to leave Thursday, but didn't want to leave yet, so we came home on Friday.

Next up is that Matt has work tomorrow for the first time in three weeks. I think he's going to have a hard time not being with all the girls for a day...I'm just going to miss hanging out with him and all that. We've had fun and figured out a system when we're both together. Now I have to figure out a new one...

Lucky for us, Matt's mom is in town this week to help with the transition though. She's been awesome and loves the baby cuddles.

On top of all that, my best friend Carmen had her baby today!! YAY!! Hadley Jo will get to meet the twins sometime soon, and we're excited that our kids are so close in age. This will be interesting for all of us to watch over time.

What a great few days, and more adventures ahead.

Grandparents

Grandparents are the best! The Treloars were here yesterday for a few hours on their way back from crabbing in Blaine. They fed and held the girls for a few hours, and got in some serious cuddle time. Then the entire Waggoner side got in on the fun. It was Dad's birthday dinner and so the entire family was together. Both Abbie and Sammy were fed/held and changed by someone-- we didn't even hold them until we went home! It was awesome and so great to see everyone again. Our niece and nephews were great. Jacquelyn even changed a diaper for us, and Jonathan held Sammy! Both Jackson and Ava were intrigued by such small people the entire night, though the dogs held their attention longer.

We're actually venturing to Spokane tomorrow! We figured that it would be a better test run to do while Matt isn't working so we can clearly think of everything, and find a way to make it fit into the Jeep. Step one for today was to make a list, and call Mom to see what they have already. Good news is that my parents are going to take the girls tomorrow night and Matt and I are going to go out to dinner together!! YAY!! A date!!

More later, especially with pictures from Spokane I'm sure.
